Infonexus Fileserver Actual Update

Though the proposed update for the Infonexus was deemed a long-term goal due to the expense and lack of priority, an increase in server issues due to the Windows 10 upgrade have amplified the importance of this project. We've decided to move forward with the update given the instability of the system and the main drive reporting S.M.A.R.T. errors.

The actual hardware purchased is slightly different, since a main drive needed to be included in the project. I've dropped the liquid cooling for the CPU and hope the stock cooler will be sufficient for the server's needs. The updated hardware list is as follows:

Intel Core i5-4590S 65W
Gigabyte GA-H97-HD3
G.Skill Sniper Low-Voltage 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
Samsung 128GB 850Pro SSD

$445.96

Overall, the server will lose approximately 800GB of storage space as this new iteration will not include any support for the current ATA133 hard drives still in use.

Some of the information stored on the server will need to be consolidated and reviewed. I anticipate a fair amount of the unsorted files will simply be removed in favor of a more svelte dataset. I've now begun the process of planning the data moves so the RAID drives can be safely rebuilt for the new installation.
